I got the contact details for PPL Events from a Google search, I had tried a few other local companies who were not interested in helping me out within the budget I had specified.  Lucy was approachable and flexible and immediately said it would not be a problem, whatever I wanted.  She was committed and had a genuine desire to make it a good night for me.  Lucy was prompt with meeting me and worked hard within my requirements and budget.  A quotation was quickly produced with an agreement and from there on in I had nothing to worry about with regards to my wedding reception, I could just sit back and enjoy it.  The venue itself looked fantastic and all my guests commented on how great it looked.  A top hassle free event - thanks Lucy!

We just wanted to thank you for assisting in the preparation of our Persian Sofreh for our wedding, along with arranging the chair covers, table runners and the lighting and staging for our evening event.  It was great to have your help with the Sofreh and you added some lovely touches.  The chair covers and knots for the wedding breakfast looked great and really added to the room.  The lighting in the Olympia Suite looked fantastic and gave our evening reception a great ambience.  Combined with the pin-spot lighting, stage for the band and the lighting for the cake, everything looked fantastic.

We met PPL Events via an internet search.  We had booked the venue, band, and flowers etc but with all of us working full time and being control freaks, we were getting concerned about pulling it all together for the big day.

We were planning our daughter’s wedding and after booking the basic elements, Jodie was happy for me to deal with all the extras – no pressure there then!

I had spoken to two other event co-ordinators before speaking to the lovely Debs.  The difference in approach was immediately evident.  PPL’s attitude was “whatever you want – we can do”.

From our initial meeting at the venue we all felt listened to, understood and most importantly it felt like Debs and Lucy really wanted to make this the best day ever.

Initially we were looking for the On the Day Coordination package, but after meeting Debs and Lucy and feeling so confident in their ideas and commitment it soon became a whole lot more.

We realised we wanted to decorate the venue to give it a bit more of a wow factor and the ideas that Debs and Lucy came up with were amazing – they totally fulfilled that brief exceeding all our expectations.  The next thing we wanted to address was the drinks reception after the ceremony.  We were having a loose racing theme to the day as it was Grand National day and Jodie and Ian had met at the races.  This is when Debs and Lucy really went the extra mile, sourcing various elements and bringing them all together in the most extraordinary fashion.  Everyone who attended was blown away!

Debs very quickly became my new best friend, any slight niggle I had, I felt I could share, always feeling that Debs would resolve the smallest to the biggest of issues.  Our confidence in Debs and Lucy grew to the extent we let them order both a traditional and cheese wedding cake and we didn’t even see them until the day of the wedding and they were both fab!

I could write endlessly about all the elements Debs and Lucy introduced to make Jodie and Ian’s day so special, but I feel what made the whole thing so joyous was their enthusiasm, empathy and tireless hard work and effort.  All of this was done in the most professional manner and with an amazing attitude.

Jodie and Ian thoroughly enjoyed their day, and Ian, who was a very nervous groom wants to do it all again!  Jodie felt like a princess and said she had no worries on the day as you were there.

The feedback we have had from guests at the wedding has been so positive, a reoccurring ‘best wedding we have ever been to’.  A lot of the guests commented on the general ambiance of the day, how very happy everyone was – I don’t think Jodie stopped smiling for 12 hours!  Everyone said how the day flowed brilliantly and had such a feel good factor.  Even the sun shone all day!

To say thank you hardly seems enough, but is meant most sincerely.  You certainly work hard, always putting in extra effort, always making everything seem effortless and with a desire to deliver the best service.  All the suppliers have also commented on what a pleasure you are to work with.

We would recommend PPL to everyone, feeling confident they would get the best planning, ideas, commitment and delivery from two extraordinary, special people.

With the wedding furore having died down now, I feel like I have a moment to breathe, sit back and reminisce. And one of the best parts of the planning process, and the events on our wedding, was having Debs and Lucy with us.

I was in touch with Debs for a while before we got down to the nitty gritty details of what things we would like help with. Having found the email from the PPL events website, I was pleasantly surprised at the quick response from Debs. From the outset, she has been efficient, organized and so warm! And her quick response to queries from flowers to personal matters was exactly what I was after.  ‘Scarily efficient’, my then fiancé commented, adding, ‘like you’! A woman after my own heart !!!!!

Our first face to face meeting in Lancaster (Debs, Lucy and me) was fun, helpful and I felt like I was placing the wedding into safe and capable hands. I was offered a multitude of choices, and never did I feel like I was being pushed towards a particular one. Debs and Lucy listened, and understood what I wanted, sometimes even I wasn’t completely articulate about it!

And as expected, the church and reception venue decoration and co-ordination was faultless.

In retrospect, we probably would/should have asked Debs and Lucy to step in and liaise with the hotel and suppliers from the outset as I spent many a sleepless night worrying over them!

Nevertheless, we were so calm on our wedding day -  I knew that if something unexpected came up, it would be handled for us. We were also grateful that Debs and Lucy stayed longer than was planned as we were running late. And we did miss them at our wedding breakfast!

Our friends and family would vouch for the flawless organization, friendliness and ease with which Debs and Lucy made sure that we had a beautiful wedding day.

PPL were recommended to both Cheryl and myself through my sister who had heard great feedback regarding events that PPL had undertaken. We were pointed in the direction firstly of their website which spoke volumes for what they had done for others and what bespoke things they could do for our special day.

The website instantly sold them to us but we wanted further information to make absolutely sure that they were the events company for us and for our big day. On requesting more information via the website we were contacted by Lucy that very same night and we arranged a meeting to discuss our wedding and to gain an idea of how things would work between ourselves and PPL. On the night of the meeting we were very surprised to not be greeted by a ‘hard sell ethos’ and instead both Lucy and Deb’s were more than willing just to listen to our views, opinions and requirements for the day. My wife at the time commented that it was very relaxed and she felt that although PPL would be taking on the planning of the wedding she felt in complete control which is very important to any future bride. That first night was spent not only giving our ultimate vision but getting to know each other and learning about what PPL were capable of outside the things we had thought of.

From the meeting we were basically given a ‘menu’ of items we had discussed ranging from table decorations to lighting. Against each of these items were the broken down costs which allowed us to keep an eye on our budget whilst looking at the abundance of options. We felt this was a great aspect provided by PPL because it allowed us to tailor our requirements and in some cases allowed us to omit certain aspects in favour of things we had not thought of i.e. mood lighting.

To say that PPL provided and efficient and effective service would be an understatement, both Lucy and Deb’s were with us every step of the way leading up to our big day and whether it be a quick email to settle our nerves, a telephone conversation to change our requirements or actual meetings to show us samples etc they were more than willing to oblige.

I suppose with most of these testimonials the proof is in the pudding and we can only say that our perfect day was exactly that! Due to the hard work and attention to detail shown by PPL the day was a huge success and the positive feedback we gained from our guests not only on the day but subsequent weeks after was a testament in itself to Lucy and Deb’s.

We recommend PPL not just for being successful in planning our wedding but also for being two genuine ladies who gave the personal touch and support we needed.

To our dear friends Debs & Lucy,

It is difficult to put into words just how much we would like to thank you for all the hard work you put into our special day. It was such a beautiful day, far beyond our wildest dreams, and the best part of it all was being able to sit back, relax and enjoy it; knowing that you both were there too! 

I had so many ideas, as every Bride would and was looking forward to planning the whole day. We soon found our perfect venue, Tatton Park and we quickly realised, that whilst we wanted to transform the room into something amazing, it was extremely hard work planning everything alone, working full time and caring for a young family. We basically needed everything...lighting, dance floor, band, table linen, just to mention a few. We had contacted a few companies ourselves and had quite a few quotes at this stage; but we were beginning to worry about not being able to relax on our special day with having so much going on. That’s when I researched event co coordinators on the internet and found the amazing Debs & Lucy. I sent off an enquiry form, asking for a quote for on the day coordination. The following day, I received a telephone call from Debs and quickly learned that she could offer me far more than on the day help. We arranged to meet at home and have a chat and upon instantly meeting Debs & Lucy, I felt at complete ease. They were amazing, professional and friendly, with lots of great ideas.  Their motto was...’We can do anything’... and they can!!! I loved how they seemed excited too about our wedding day and they just seemed to understand exactly what atmosphere we wanted to create.

We had the time of our life and that is down to you both.  Everything was perfect, so perfect in fact; I have to pinch myself to check it was real. I felt like a princess- we still feel like were dreaming when we talk about it. It was so lovely to have all our friends and family call us up afterwards to say that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Obviously, everyone enjoyed it just as much as us and that is down to the two of you. It is crazy when we think back now, we always knew what we wanted our wedding day to be like but we didn't know how to put it into words and explain it... but it's like you both just knew!!!

Believe us- you were worth your fee a million times over!!!!!

You never seemed like anything was too much trouble. You were there anytime we needed a chat, anytime I had a problem (and believe me I had some of those- and you sorted every one of them out) and you were even there when I just needed a hug! You’re such wonderful people and so professional... all our guests from the wedding day are talking about you, as everyone knew you that day. You were not only there for us, you were a contact point for all our 180 plus guests we had. I cannot even begin to explain to you how thankful we are to you. All the personal touches you did for us on the day, which everyone has been talking about. You work so hard and such long hours but you always remain so happy and professional.

Through it all, we feel really lucky because not only have we had our perfect dream wedding, we have also made 2 precious friends who we will treasure forever.  We really could not have achieved anything close to what it was without you being there every step of the way. You made all our dreams come true - Thank you!

We heard about PPL Events from the bridal magazine ‘BRIDE’. We logged onto their website and had a look at their work and completed their online enquiry form. They were very quick to respond and left several messages for us until finally we all got together to meet and discuss our wedding.

Lucy and Debs were great and we hit it off straight away, they were friendly and professional, a great balance. We knew instantly they were the people to help make our wedding perfect! They had lots of great ideas and set up meetings with some great companies. They took the whole thing off us, but we still felt very much in control. Everything was dealt with quickly, and we were kept very informed and knew everything they were doing.

We had lots of confidence in them, and it was completely evident that they had everything under control. The day went exactly as we wanted and as planned, at least from our perspective, as still to this day we don’t know if they had any problems, that is the beauty of them. Our wedding day was amazing and on the list of things to arrange for your wedding or event, PPL Events should be on the top of that list!

My husband and I got engaged in Dec 2006 and wanted to get married in Cheshire during 2007. However, because we live in the US, we were looking to find a suitable wedding planning company, who could arrange and coordinate every aspect of our wedding.

We contacted a few planning agencies via email, outlining our request. Within 24hours, PPL Events had responded with a well-thought out reply to our request. No other agency responded until a few days or even weeks later, and some never replied at all. After a few weeks during which we found out more about PPL Events’s services, we decided to select them as our wedding planners.

Over the next 9 months, Lucy and Debs worked meticulously and diligently to plan every single aspect of our wedding, with unfaltering attention to detail. They provided us with many choices of suppliers and went out of their way to ensure everything matched our wishes of how we envisioned our big day. They were always incredibly responsive, leaving us constantly feeling assured and confident that we were in good hands. This was so important to us, living across the pond and working full time, so we really had very little to worry about.

Another key thing to mention is their positive “can-do” approach to anything. Nothing was too much trouble for Lucy and Debs. Our wedding was rather complex - we had people coming from several countries, but the additional coordination of all guest’s requirements from around the world, was easily taken care of without any problems.

Our wedding truly was a perfect day. Debs and Lucy ensured everything ran smoothly, so that we could enjoy every moment. If we had to do it all again, there would be absolutely no other choice than to have PPL Events to be our wedding planners. We wholeheartedly recommend them without hesitation.

We sent our details on the PPL Events website enquiry page and received a phone call from the girls the same day, from which we then set up a consultation for the following week. They were very helpful and informative, offering lots of choices of suppliers. Their defining attribute was their friendliness and how easy it was to talk to them and as we got to know them more they seemed to anticipate what we would like.

The whole event was fantastic, the day seemed to go so fast but it was worth all the months of planning. All the guests enjoyed the day and the whole event left a lasting impression with everyone. The venue looked better than I could ever have dreamt of and I was so impressed.

Both Lucy and Debs were helpful, friendly, informative and above all respectful to our wishes and didn’t try to take over with their ideas; they listened to us and provided us with the right suppliers for what we wanted. Would use them again but obviously not for another wedding!!

Dear Lucy and Deborah, We just wanted to say thank you so much for the perfect night that you created for us. When we first walked into the room we couldn’t believe it was the same place - it was perfect!

Everything ran so smoothly; the illusionist was such a good idea and made the night that little bit different. You seemed to take all the worry away keeping us informed of timings, when we needed to do our speeches, serve the buffet, etc. It is true that you are only 40 once, and ours was all that we hoped it would be.

Without doubt we would recommend you to anyone wishing to have an event planned. You took our brief and budget considerations and made everything work around us. We were very proud to be hosting an event you planned and people are still talking to us about it now.

Thanks once again PPL Events, we will see you in either ten years for our 50th birthday, or our eldest daughters wedding, whichever will happen first
